Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We were just lucky to get a table when we reached the kopitiam, else the waiting time can be at least 10 minutes unless you are fine sharing table with other people. I was introduced to eat here. I recommend to try their hor fun, be it ipoh chicken hor fun or curry chicken hor fun because their hor fun is great. It is silky, soft and smooth. Their wantons are delicious too. It can be ordered separately or added into your noodles. I see many people ordering their chicken. I believe it should be succulent. I will be back to try their food again. The place is clean, spacious, clean, but many people. Noise level is 100%. Their menu has plenty to choose, mainly ipoh good food. The service is good, the lady has a good memories. They accept cashless payments."
"Went to this place as son a fan of Ipoh hor fun. Parking can be difficult even on Monday when other shops around the area was closed. Reached there at 12 noon and there was a q, waited to get a number and was seated in 20 minutes. No more curry and prawn wanton, so settled for Kai so hor fun soup and kampong chicken. The soup have a strong prawn taste, l prefer a milder prawn flavour. Chicken was good, it was soft and sweet, soya sauce that goes with it was nice. Coffee which son ordered not in picture - he says good! Next round need will come early try the dry prawns version. Recommended to come and try, no need to go Ipoh if you have cravings."
"Honestly one of the best Ipoh Hor Fun one can find in KL. The chicken is a bit on the chewier side which we love. The prawn wonton is also to die for. Be prepared to queue during lunch hours, but it’s worth it."
"Arrived at 10.30am on a Saturday, gotten a seat within 20 minutes. Ordered: Gravy smooth chicken noodles Soup shredded chicken noodles Prawn wonton a la carte Taugeh We love the solid prawn broth of the soup, pairs well with the smooth chicken texture Gravy chicken noodle is suitable for people who want a quick slurp, eliminating the hot soup, flavor packed with crunchy garlic What more impressive is that the taugeh side dish has a generous amount of spring onion and fried garlic, making every bite refreshing, crunchy yet flavourful. I thought I will be back for the noodles, but taugeh is the hero!"
"Love the boss's way of managing crowd, firm no fuss direct no nonsense type but definitely not rude. Very direct with expected time to wait so you can make the decision if you want to wait Chicken is very smooth Soup is tasty Parking is a nightmare though , go early if you want to secure a place."
"A place to go to for brunch on a slow day without plans. Worthwhile the patience. Friendly staff, efficient and nice lady boss. The dry horfun is absolutely in its own league; chicken is smooth-“wat-wat"; prawn wontons fresh & QQ! The prawn oil in the soup is on the stronger side, for those who love a strong hiong prawn oil flavour, the horfun soup here is "kaw". As for the beansprouts, crisp, plump and juicy with a clean taste- enjoyable even for someone who is usually not friends with beansprouts. That ginger paste that they serve with the chicken also deserves an honorary mention- adds another dimension of flavour to everything! Coffee and tea are good too. The space is quite airy with good ventilation, cool even with just fans, and no stuffy feeling. Definitely will return on another slow day!"
"A hidden gem for authentic Ipoh flavors outside of Ipoh! The soup was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was perfectly tender—definitely a standout. Unlike typical cramped kopitiams, this place offers a more comfortable dining experience with well-spaced tables. However, solo diners or pairs may need to share larger tables during peak hours. Be prepared to queue, as the restaurant gets quite busy—but the delicious food is well worth the wait!"
"Was there slightly after 12pm and they were almost sold out. Fortunately, the chicken hor fun was still available. Had a taste of the soup and it was full of umami with a nice prawn flavour. The hor fun was delightfully soft and smooth."
